About Christopher Swiedler

As a parent of three children who attended Pacifica School District, Chris has experienced firsthand both the strengths and challenges of the district. Professionally, he has spent more than 20 years as a software engineer and engineering director, leading teams of nearly 100 people and solving complex organizational problems.

​

His experience extends beyond the workplace. As Chair of the Parcel Tax Oversight Committee, supporter of Measure EE, and active school volunteer, he understands how school funding works and believes strong partnerships between schools and families can improve student outcomes.

​

Chris brings his engineering sensibility to the table with a empathetic lens. He is running because he believes Pacifica deserves thoughtful, transparent leadership that makes difficult decisions responsibly while engaging the community every step of the way.
